This resonates with me so deeply! I would add another factor for myself: I respect women’s opinions way more than I respect men’s, so the stakes feel higher. Over many years of dating men I’ve come to a place where I can tell myself it’s a privilege for them to go on a date with me so I don’t stress so much about how I look and act … but with women I care so much about what they think of me!
